Who is online trauma therapy suitable for?

With virtual trauma therapy, I offer my clients the opportunity to access therapeutic support flexibly. For many people, it is not possible to regularly visit a practice in their area. Others prefer online support because they would prefer to receive therapy from home, in their familiar surroundings. There are a growing number of people who travel a lot for work or change jobs frequently.

The online format can also be a good way for people with health restrictions, or for whom the hurdle of going to a local practice is simply too high, to still be able to receive therapy.

Many clients have previously participated in other therapy options that focus more on psychological conversations. They often find that the therapy helped them, but that certain behavioral patterns or symptoms persist. Therapy focused on the body and the senses can also help these people.

For some people, receiving therapy on a screen may initially take some getting used to. However, both my personal experience as a client in self-therapy and experiences with my clients have shown me that virtual encounters can be just as effective and personal as an in-person therapy session. The advantage is that virtual encounters are possible from most locations, without the need for extensive travel.

These days, therapy should always be possible, regardless of where you are or what your life circumstances are. Seeking psychological help is no longer an exclusive in-patient event. For many problems, it is possible to seek support elsewhere. With online trauma therapy, I want to offer people the opportunity to receive support that is flexible in location and tailored to their life situation.

For me it is a matter, of course, to offer therapy in a safe and confidential setting.
